A good news currently passed through the iPhone users when the launch of iOS 8 got revealed on 17th of the September of this year. So today, we are going to help all those who want to get their iPhones, iPads, and iPad Minis upgraded to the iOS 8 as soon as it reaches.
DOs before We Start the Updating process
Before you drag your desires and expect a lot and get prepared to get the updates to your lovely iPhone. You have to understand that only the below mentioned IPhone models have the compatibility, still a few can lack in a few features though. The models are as under:
- iPhone 6 Plus
- iPhone 6
- iPhone 5s
- iPhone 5c
- iPhone 5
- iPhone 4s
As you can remember, the Air Drop feature for the iOS 7 was limited for the iPhone 5 and later version users only. As some of the models get restricted in terms of specific hardware, thus the same can happen with older models.
Back up Your Data, Just in case…
Once you had a check for the compatibility, you can get to create a back up of your important data, files and media for getting to the step forth. You can use the iCloud or the iTunes to back up. There is a point to remember that these would only back up the purchased music, TV shows, books, apps, and other subscriptions. They won’t be including any data synced to your PC or Laptops anyway.
The update might have a failure for the reason of insufficient space in the Phone to withstand. Remove the data temporarily or permanently as permissible to you. You can also delete the apps data which would no more be required in case.
Charge Up your iPhone
You need to get your phone charged to suffice as it might create a problem if the download or the install process gets a power cut off. You need to be sure of that as it may corrupt the whole system of your phone if it run out of battery.
Be Sure to have a working Internet Connection
Be very cautious about the net connectivity. It is highly recommendable to get in a Wi-Fi range or a working 3G or 4G network for the downloading process. But remember that the data that is going to be spent would be large enough to swallow the entire month usage of your cellular data.
Final Step> the Download
All you need to do is to get into the Settings> General> Software Update
This will let the pop up for updates to be checked, and thus a message for iOS 8 to be available. Now you just need to tap for the download to start. As it gets the stuff to download you can just relax and as it gets downloaded you will get another notification stating it to be available for the device. All left to be done is to get back to the settings, and then tap on the Install Now option in the software update option and just wait for the rest to be done on its own.
