Samsung confirmed the launching of the Galaxy Tab 3 Kids tablet, which is a version of its Galaxy Tab designed. This tablet exactly especially designed for children. It is similar to the iPad except that it is more children friendly. Thus, it is suitable for children especially of the ages 4 plus. The tablet will come pre-loaded with kid-friendly apps and games that are designed to be educational and fun at the same time, a Kid’s Store, and parental control features that include time management features, white listing capabilities, password protected access etc. Your child will surely enjoy learning as they play and they will think it is part of the amazing features. Samsung will also provide an easy-to-grip Kids Case and, a pen for drawing that comes with the case. You will find some great stories available on these tabs and they include sound effects and music to accompany them, which makes them that extra bit special for your child. I have heard that there is a way of putting the children in the stories, is that true.
The company had announced its tablet launch first in Korea next month, then in China, U.S, Europe, Africa, South America and Southeast Asia. This Kids friendly tablet includes some of the amazing features similar to a normal tablet like a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, front- and rear-facing cameras, 8GB of internal storage that is expandable via a MicroSD slot up to 32GB and a seven-inch 1024 x 600 display. The tablet runs the Jelly Bean (4.1) version of Android.
The market for kid-specific tablets is still restricted to some places. Few companies, like Leapfrog designed tablets which are more like electronic, educational toys than the normal iPod. They run games and apps; however, they are not about being able to browse the ever-expanding mobile app store for the most recent and utmost from the children’s favorite characters and big-name kids’ brands. You get a curated selection of apps, although not some of the best learning apps designed specifically for Apple’s iPad.
Amazon’s own Kindle Fire designed for a decent “kid” tablet, as well, without the limitation of being only a kid’s toy. In spite of coming with software that lets parents put the tablet into a kid mode, that includes parental controls, time-limiting features and pre-approved apps. To make it more of a family gadget parents can then use the tablet for themselves when the kids finish playing. Price point is the main factor with the kid’s only tablet. Normally speaking, this tablet needs to stay under $200. As something thing too expensive leads parents consider paying just a few dollars more for a low-end iPad Mini ($329).
The company has not yet announced pricing, thus it is hard to evaluate where this new tablet will fit in. While using this tablet your child is not only fun and can teach your child many things however it also can help with things like responsibility, social interaction, hand to eye coordination etc. Apart from that this tablet will also teach subjects like geography, literature, science, literacy, mathematics and many more!
