Blogging for many is still an anonymous term or a habit that many pursue. However, not many exist among us who really understand the true motive of a blog. Ask a commoner and pop will be the reply that blog is much similar to an article as they both cater information. I beg to differ as blog I believe is an informal way of communicating with your target audience, which is why a perfect blog should be conversational. That’s right, some of the best blogs are not only in 1st person basis but aptly conversational too.
Blog not only allows you to informally interact but to take chances by sparking controversy too. Internet is the sharpest and also the best marketing tool we have today, which is why having a respectable online presence is a norm. Blogging is one such internet marketing tool that helps a firm in gaining confidence of its target audience.
Here are some ways by which one can improve its blogging techniques:
Don’t be apologetic
Agreed! You have to be too careful when you are writing officially, but it doesn’t mean that one has to be apologetic and too careful to spoil the fun. If you have a point to mention then write that backed up with enough information to start a debate. Never apologize to your belief, instead start a conversation that lasts long.
A blog does not have to be robotic but humanly conversational. A very important thing that a blogger should keep in mind is that you have to engage your readers in a fruitful conversation. A blog without a conversation is like a body without a soul. An interesting topic is not enough to popularize a blog, but the same information should be presented in an innovative manner.
Images are a must
Text, text and more texts is a route towards boredom. Trust me! You don’t want to read texts all day and blogs with just texts have increased bounce rate than those who have images. Try to induce your texts with images that are meaningful and somehow support the information you are trying to present.
Try to leave your blog open ended so that you get to ask a question from your reader itself. Nothing proves to be better than a quick response on your blog.
The show’s not over yet. You wrote a blog, you received a response and now it’s time to acknowledge the response of the reader. Thanking and even adding another response to the comment is the way a conversation should be carried forward.
Hope this information proves valuable for amateur bloggers and experts alike…Happy blogging people!
